When it comes to seafood, freshness is key. If you’re looking for fresh seafood that won’t break the bank, try out Unique Seafood PJ23. This restaurant has a wide variety of live seafood, including lobster, fish, oysters, geoducks, clams, scallops, and crabs. Plus, the prices are quite reasonable—we ordered four main dishes (braised lobster, weighed >2kg, steamed fish, weighed > 1kg, herbal soup prawns and fried mee sua with clams) and a couple of side dishes for less than RM 1,000

The Fresh Seafood

This is a halal restaurant, but the menu consists primarily of Chinese-style cooking. Everything we sampled was delicious; the lobster was cooked perfectly and so succulent that it melted in our mouths. The fish was steamed using the HongKong style cooked lightly with fragrant herbs and spices that provided just enough zing without overwhelming our taste buds. Finally, the fried mee sua with clams was an absolute delight—the mee sua were perfectly cooked to al dente perfection while still maintaining its chewiness. The clams were incredibly fresh; they provided a wonderful briny flavor that really brought out the other ingredients in this dish.

The Ambience of “Fresh and Live Seafood”

The outside area is where you can see all the live seafood and you can personally ‘fish’ for your own seafood. So, you can imagine how fresh the seafood is

The décor in the dining area is simple yet warm and inviting; cozy lighting sets off the vibrant colors of the walls perfectly. The staff is friendly and attentive; they go out of their way to accommodate your needs and make sure you’re having a great time while dining at their establishment.
