Savoring Orchard’s Hidden Gem: Unforgettable Gerry’s Grill Experience!

Embarking on the Gerry’s Grill Orchard Road Review journey, I found myself amidst the lively ambiance of Orchard Road, Singapore, yearning for that authentic Filipino flavor. Gerry’s Grill, with its global presence from Singapore to the U.S. and Qatar, promises not just a meal, but an international dining phenomenon. If it’s a genuine Filipino culinary adventure you seek, there’s no place that comes closer.

Gerry’s Grill Orchard Road: Second Time’s the Charm

On our first attempt to dine at Gerry’s Grill, we made the rookie mistake of not booking in advance. Despite being early at around 5 PM, we found the restaurant bustling and fully occupied. Lesson learned! On our second attempt, we were wiser, booking our table in advance.

Upon our return, we found the restaurant as bustling as ever, which speaks volumes about its popularity, especially given its spacious interiors. Our cravings for grilled delights were intense, and so we dived deep into their grilled menu.

Gerry’s Grill Orchard Road Review: Taste Explosion

We kicked things off with the deep fried chicken skin ($11.30). Delightfully crispy, each bite oozed with the rich fragrance of chicken fats. Although undeniably addictive, the price does feel a bit steep for what’s essentially a plate of chicken skin.

For the main course, our table was adorned with the Inihaw Na Pusuit (Grilled squid) – ($21.30), Inihaw Na Tuna Belly ($25.20), and the Inihaw Na Liempo (Grilled Pork Belly) – ($17.80). The meats were grilled to perfection – achieving that delicate balance between a charred exterior and a juicy, tender interior. Every mouthful captured the smoky essence of the grill, a testament to Gerry’s Grill’s mastery over fire and meat. The squid stood out for its freshness, with its natural sweetness shining through. The Grilled Tuna Belly was tasty, though I personally lean more towards the Japanese style of grilling that retains the fish oil’s natural richness.

We ended our meal on a sweet note with the Filipino dessert classic, halo-halo ($8.3). A delightful mix of crushed ice, coconut milk, sago, sweetened beans, fruits, and coconut strips, it was an instant hit with my son. For me, however, it was a tad too sweet, but that’s halo-halo for you – a decadent end to a hearty meal.

To wrap up our Gerry’s Grill Orchard Road review, our time at the restaurant was nothing short of spectacular. The ambiance, married to the sumptuous menu, crafted a night to remember. While certain dishes lean towards the premium side, the unparalleled authenticity and quality more than justify an occasional indulgence. For anyone roaming Orchard Road with a palate yearning for Filipino delicacies, Gerry’s Grill isn’t just a recommendation—it’s a must-visit. A word to the wise: secure your reservations in advance!
