Feasting @ Bukit Indah Yi Jia Seafood
Chicken in Pig Stomach Soup (58 Ringgit)
- Our meal started with this unique and comforting soup. The chicken, encased in pig stomach, had to be cut open to reveal the tender meat. The peppery broth complemented the chicken beautifully, making it a perfect start to our feast.
Crispy Chicken (20 Ringgit)
This dish was a delightful surprise. Coated with a thin layer of fish paste before being deep-fried, the chicken skin was crisp, while the fish paste added a light, airy texture. It was a refreshing twist on a common dish in Malaysia, offering a contrast to the usual heavy fried chicken.
Australian Lobster in Yellow Sauce (328 Ringgit per kg, 452 Ringgit for our order)
- The lobster, a common Malaysian preparation, was incredibly fresh and juicy. The yellow sauce enhanced the natural sweetness of the lobster without being overly starchy. The lighter gravy was a welcome change from the thicker sauces often seen in other Malaysian restaurants.
Stir-Fried Green Dragon Vegetables (18 Ringgit)
- These vegetables were a nice addition to our seafood-centric meal. Fresh and well-seasoned, they provided a crisp and flavorful contrast to the richer dishes.
Fried River Prawn Yifu Mee (Sang Har Mee) (102 Ringgit)
- Though the river prawns were not as large as those at other restaurants we’ve visited, they were still fresh and satisfying. The sweet, creamy roe and well-cooked meat were perfectly complemented by the flavorful noodles, which had absorbed all the prawn’s goodness.
