Craving an unforgettable culinary adventure in Milan? Dive into our MU Dim Sum Review! Nestled in the heart of the city, this Michelin-starred Chinese gem promises a cozy ambiance, impeccable service, and mouthwatering delights. Join me as I explore five delectable dim sum dishes and four tantalizing main courses that will leave your taste buds dancing with delight.
MU Dim Sum Review 1: The Dim Sum
We started off with five dim sums – xiao long bao, har gau, pork tripe, guo tie, and beef tripe. All of them were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing!
The xiao long bao was the most innovative dish on our visit. Instead of dipping them into vinegar as is traditionally done, this dim sum arrives with optimal amounts of vinegar already inserted into a syringe attached to each bun. This made for an enjoyable mix of flavour and broth that was truly delicious!
The Beef Tripe: Authentic and just like what you would find in Hong Kong, the beef tripe was cooked perfectly. The flavours were spot on – not too salty nor too bland – making it an enjoyable dish even for those who are not fans of beef tripe!
The Prawn Dumplings were also something special. The prawns were fresh and juicy while still being cooked through entirely. We particularly enjoyed how light the dumpling skin was – it wasn’t too chewy or dense.
MU Dim Sum Review 2: The Main Dishes
We had quite the feast when we ordered 4 main dishes – BBQ Pigeon, Stir Fried Turbot, Peking Duck and Rice Gnocchi with Wild Mushrooms. The combination of French and Chinese cooking for the BBQ Pigeon and Peking Duck gave them a unique flavor that still kept the meat tender and flavourful. But the highlight of our meal was definitely the Rice Gnocchi with Wild Mushroom. The rice cakes were perfectly chewy and perfectly blended with rich truffles and mushrooms creating a delightful explosion of flavours in every bite!
MU Dimsum offers a wide variety of dishes to choose from. If you’re looking to sample different flavors, their sampling menu is the perfect way to go, featuring an array of appetizers, mains and desserts. For those who prefer to customize their meal, try any one of their ala carte items like dim sum, noodles and rice, seafood or meat dishes. Last but not least, don’t forget the desserts! From ice creams to mochi and more – no matter what you choose, you’re sure to find something that satisfies your cravings.
