On my latest Las Vegas adventure, I was drawn to the allure of a Quality Wagyu Beef BBQ Buffet. Eager to dive into this culinary treat, we arrived at the 888 Japanese BBQ Buffet 15 minutes early, only to find a bustling queue of fellow food enthusiasts. Enticed by the promise of premium cuts, we chose the Kobe menu, priced at $43.95 for adults and $27.95 for children aged 4-8, all within a 90-minute dining window
No wonder why everyone wanted in: There were 88 delectable dishes on offer containing 19 types of sushi, 20 appetizers, 35 barbecue items plus 9 sides & 5 ramens!
The Food: Quality Wagyu Beef and many more
Appetizers (kobe beef caprice, salmon caprice and sweet shrimps): All the items were raw and fresh. The portion is fairly generous, with about 5 slices of beef, 4 pieces of salmon and 2 pieces of shrimps.
Order once” BBQ Items (Kobe Beef and marinated prime kalbi ):. The beef here is of pretty good quality and has great marbling. When cooked, they literally melt in your mouth. The marinated prime ribs was well-marinated and it caramelized when charred. For those who want a real experience make sure to try unmarinated versions too.
Other BBQ Items (Ribeye, LA Kalbi , kobe beef belly, pork toro, thiny sliced pork belly, miso pork belly and kobe fatty ribs): The kobe beef belly and kobe fatty ribs were unmarinated and were incredibly fresh. The succulent ribeye is also not to be missed! But for an especially tasty treat, try out their pork toro – balanced between fat and meat portions – it will make your taste buds dance when grilled over flames. Not so keen on miso pork belly or thin sliced options? We’d opt for skipping those as there’s nothing quite special about them compared to other menu items.
Other items in the menu (Black Garlic Ramen): The portion of the ramen was generous. Soup was nice. But if u would want to save some tummy space for other stuff, you probably can give this a miss too.
As the eating time is limited to only 90 minutes, there were other food items, which I had missed. For the BBQ items, there are still the prawns, squids, octopus and beef tongue. There is still the prawn tempura, chicken karage and the whole suite of sushis which I had missed.
In conclusion, the 888 Japanese BBQ Buffet offers an unparalleled Quality Wagyu Beef BBQ Buffet experience. With its vast array of dishes and emphasis on premium meat quality, it’s not just a delightful culinary journey but also outstanding value for money.
